Okay, confession time. This is the first page I've done since getting back from Otakon, and getting that huge Conventional Wisdom update done REALLY burned me out. Thus, it was very VERY hard to get myself into the mood to draw again. Heck, I went outside to put something in the mail and ended up spending over three hours wandering across town to buy ramen rather than go back inside and work! It didn't help that this page promised to include two things I really don;t like doing: wonky angles and complicated lighting.

BUT HOLY CATS DID IT TURN OUT WELL. The dramatic mood in general turned out far better than I was expecting, and that final close up is (if I may say so) PHENOMENAL.

And just to top it all off, Pandora decided to start playing THIS right as I started working on the second panel. Too perfect!

OH! And, as always, don't forget to vote for Far Out There on TWC! The ongoing saga of Trigger and Layla's past continues to unfold!

Opening a container and then seeing its contents glow yellow at you is never a good sign.

And whatever it is that Layla's holding in the incentive... It doesn't look happy.

Uh, oh!
When Megaweapon says "sweet" it's time to have already started running.

And I found a certain small creature on "#125 - page 113". (It looked vaguely familiar, and I was working on some stuff I didn't want to do, so I went back poking around until I found it. I didn't spend 3 hours, quite, but I also didn't end up with ramen.) :D

Well done!

Scribbles, The Mascot of Writer's Block?

I probably should recognise that one then, since I think I must get visited a lot.

Oh, you're far from the only one, I can guarantee you that.
