I was afraid while drawing around Cap'N Crosby for fear that he'd yell at me. How can a character with only eyes look so ANGRY?

Okay, so I've repeatedly made excuses to justify why I allowed pages to go online despite sloppy art I could have otherwise fixed. Blah blah blah no buffer, yadda yadda yadda out of time, yack yack yack convention looming, I'm running out of excuses. Oh, but here's a good one: ACTS OF GOD! Yes, as I write this, Hurricane Irene is looming over North Carolina's horizon, and DC will be getting hit in a day or so. (Note Ichabod's little comment) Thus, I've been scrambling to get as much done and online as I can before the power inevitably goes out. Of course, by the time you read this, everything will be over. Gosh, I hope you don't know anything I don't...

Oh, but get THIS: assuming I've been able to make the update happen without incident, THE NEW VOTING INCENTIVE SERIES IS UNVEILED TODAY! You wanted to see an adventure staring Ichabod? How 'bout a glimpse of what he was up to before he met the rest of the Far Out There cast? Intrigued? VOTE ON TWC TO SEE!

(Oh, and also assuming I've been able to make updates happen without incident, the earlier "family album" incentive sets should be accessible in the Incentive Gallery now)

...just for the record, Irene didn't do SQUAT on our end of town. My building never even lost power. What a let down...

I like Jen's expression in the last panel. It's so flippin' cute.

That incentive series title is crazy in it of itself. I can't wait to see where this is going!

And it's nice to be able to browse the past incentive gallery. I'm afraid I've missed a few updates. :P

Blitzkrieg1701, September 2nd, 2011, 12:45 am

Yeah, I'm going to make a point of updating the gallery more often with this next series (especially since there'll be an actual plot to keep track of)

The incentive, I like it how they all look worried, even the robot, except for Ichabod eating an apple :P

Personally I think that the comic turned out just fine :) Especially Jen.

(And apparently I'm not the only one that sometimes gets frightened by their own fictional characters...)

Blitzkrieg1701, September 2nd, 2011, 1:10 am

I didn't intend it originally, but the incentive ended up looking a lot like a stereotypical James Bond poster, didn't it? Just replace the apple with a handgun and there ya go!

Also, anyone NOT at least a little wary of The Cap'n here is just being careless, I don't care if he IS fictional.

Siblings often have negative opinions of each other, but I think Jen's implied judgement about Kevin here is quite objective. Also, her father actually said something quite reasonable there at the end. Go figure.

Blitzkrieg1701, September 2nd, 2011, 5:05 pm

Seeing as how she's probably had a chance to sit around watching TV with Kevin every single day of her life every, being surrounded by mounds of yogurt is probably an exciting and novel idea.

Also, I'd certainly HOPE you agree with that last statement, seeing as how you helped inspire it! (I direct other reader's attention to the comments on page 356)

Stonefoot, September 2nd, 2011, 8:12 pm

I get a footnote!

And I think about two days sitting around with Kevin watching TV would be enough for me to appreciate the exciting and novel qualities of mounds of yogurt. Maybe it wouldn't take the whole two days.

Blitzkrieg1701, September 2nd, 2011, 8:51 pm

But here's the conundrum: what if Kevin was watching a TV special about yogurt?

MC/Curtis (Guest), September 5th, 2011, 5:58 am

Soft drink?
I want TURKEY In A Can now. Yum.

Blitzkrieg1701, September 5th, 2011, 1:44 pm

Today on "Brad Tries:" Turkey in a Can!

I wonder if that's anything like the Jones Soda Turkey & Gravy?
