How appropriate that this image of destruction is the first one in 2012?
There! I DID get this thing done before New Year's Day was over! Sorry about the delay, but apparently some stray bolt of lightning fried my computer's power supply or something over Christmas. Thus, there was a SLIGHT delay in finishing this page.

But I think it was worth it! As soon as I tacked that little throwaway line onto the last page of Stil ez vs. Christmas, I knew what the New Year's page had to be. Since most of her appearances have veered to the side of cute and cuddly (mostly to keep the comedy coming) I really felt like we needed to get a glimpse of the terrifying force of destruction everyone CLAIMS Stilez is. In fact, I had to redraw half this page to get that effect. My first attempt at Stilez tearing robots up looked to... goofy, and there wasn't any sense of danger, so I started over.

Yeah, THIS is the Stilez that the rest of the universe is terrified of. Bloodthirsty and feral! I dunno how often we'll see this side of her, since it IS hard to write around, but now you know what the deal is.

So, yeah. Regular new page (and new voting incentive) on Tuesday!

I wonder if I should make you feel slightly less relieved by saying that for me, New Year's Day had been over for quite a while before this update :P

Still, I do like it, and how Ichabod is cowering behind the couch even though Stilez isn't actually there, just on TV.

She DOES seem to get under his skin in a way few things can manage, doesn't she?

Ichabod remains unfazed by killer robots, anti-genies and children.
But Stilez terrifies him into a gibbering mess.

OH! Sounds like somebody found some ancient artifacts lurking on Photobucket! :)

I spent more time than I care to admit reading that story from start to finish in order.

I do however admit that I found it amusing that Vengeance said the answer to the trivia question Avatar didn't know right at the start of that. Also how excited Avatar was when that show came on.
(The anti-genie was amusing too)

My apologies for the untold hours that must have been wasted on deciphering my awful, awful handwriting.

Seros Senric (Guest), January 2nd, 2012, 5:04 am

I spent more time looking for the next strip in the midst of a myriad of demotionals and other images.
(also waiting for them to actually load...)

In my life I've gotten alright at deciphering bad handwriting (how else could I read what I've written?)

I'm still not quite sure what I'm gonna do with those comics. Obviously, I drew them as practice before doing the actually start of the comic (I didn't wanna risk getting bored with boring exposition while also learning the basics of the art) and my plan was to post that arc in the main comic whenever I needed a few month's break. But the more I look at it, the more I really REALLY want to re-do them from scratch. Maybe do a "before-and-after" comparison thing?

May we have a moment of silence for the Killbots that didn't make it thru Stilez rampage.

Seros Senric (Guest), January 2nd, 2012, 5:26 pm

*moment of silence*

Now, may we take a moment to be thankful that it was the killbots, and not us, that were the target of Stilez's rampage.

Well, I know a few of those strips could do with being redone if you wanted to post them here, and a before-and-after thing could be good, but really I don't think I'm the person that would know. It was however an amusing storyline. And we got to see Vengeance selling burgers.

Blitzkrieg1701, January 2nd, 2012, 5:27 pm

Indeed, we don't know what those Killbots were up to when Stilez started tearing them up. Killbots aren't known for their altruistic philanthropy, after all. :)
