Avatar is NOT in the mood to sugarcoat anything for you, buster.

...aaaand I don't really have much to add to this one. It's just one of those Load Bearing pages that's mostly there to keep the rest of the plot from toppling over. Don't worry, they'll figure out what they CAN do soon enough.

If you wanna see a plot that IS moving, you can vote for Far Out There on TWC and read the latest page of The Killer Station of Deadly Doom! You know you wanna!

Also, yet again, I'll remind you about the Far Out There FAQ being hashed out on the forum. There's still time to ask something!

Yeah, it has not been a good day for Avatar.
Hmm... Nanites... I'm sure they could cobble together some sort of EMP with what is lying around (hey, a few mad scientists probably made some) and nanites are too small to be protected from the effects of an EMP. So, stick the EMP and the nanites inside a Faraday cage so the EMP can't escape to wreck havoc with the rest of the ship (although anything important should already be in a Faraday cage, that's why computer boxes tend to be made from metal), and hope for the best :P

Incentive: I was wondering if that would happen, but I wasn't sure. I'd say that it was very awesome, but I think I've been overusing that word.
(It is though)

I won't hold continued use of the word "awesome" against you. :D

I actually didn't think to mention anything like an EMP, but if I HAD, Avatar probably would have put the kibosh on that too. (She wouldn't want to risk damaging the rest of the cargo and getting Cap'n Crosby in trouble)

Yeah, didn't think you thought of an EMP :P
But mot damaging other stuff is why they would need a Faraday cage.
Anyway, looking forward to their way past this little obstacle.

I'd LIKE to think I dreamed up an outcome that nobody will be able to guess... which is probably what's gonna happen now that I went and bragged about it :)

So, just for the record, are the nanites going to eat Superweapon?

Blitzkrieg1701, February 11th, 2012, 1:24 pm

It'll be addressed in the comic itself soon, but naw. If Megaweapon were in danger of anything other than extensive, unwanted tickling, Avatar would be doing more than just standing around right now.

i always feel sorry for avatar, she puts up with anything and everything that is thrown her way, i must say she has earnt the right to be negative.
Anyway to the point, has it been considered that megawepon is only being tickled, as such they should invite jenna, get popcorn and pock fun at megawepon till they can be bothered to bust him out... i would love to see that, thought of avatar, trigger and jenna watching megawepon in fits of uncontrolable laughter appaels to me.

Blitzkrieg1701, February 11th, 2012, 11:30 pm

I think Avatar would enjoy that idea IMMENSELY. The only problem is that Jenna's such a goody two-shoes that she'd probably insist on letting him out.

Spoil sport.
