See? See? In SOME ways, it's exactly what you guys were expecting, but NOBODY guessed the completely out of nowhere introduction of voice commands and speech pattern recognition and what have you! Technobabble: it's always there for you when you're looking for a needless plot complication!

So, once again I feel the need to complain that the page isn't as finished as I'd have liked. I wanted to splatter a few more layers of effects around Megaweapon make his roller coaster of emotions even more obvious than it already is, but... well, real life's been a bit roller-coaster like lately, and I had a whole lot of distractions keeping me from working on this page. Not the least of which was getting locked out of my building for a few hours this afternoon. FUN.

But enough about that, The Killer Station of Deadly Doom! As long as we're talking about people guessing stuff, at least one clever reader deserves extra credit for TOTALLY nailing the latest Voting Incentive! I'm so proud of ya'll!

(No, it's not a download.)

Megaweapon gets just what he deserves, although I'm curious to see how Jenna will react to this.

As for the incentive, Ichabod and company are running into problems all over the place. The station is starting to live up to its name.
Also a minor nitpick (with interesting concequences). In the first panel of the incentive shouldn't he have said 'wouldn't be affected', because right now it sounds like he planed for his brain to go haywire.

Aww, nertz. I hate when I let typos like that slip.

Also, I dunno why, but that Kane gif always cracks me up, in any and every context.

With the last panel, Megaweapon realises just what they've been laughing about the last couple of pages.

And that gif is hilarious regardless of context.

Incentive: Yep... Although with full access to the station's systems, there's a lot of bad things he could do other than letting in a horde of killer robots.... But I won't be mentioning them.
Pity they can't hack into him through the station or otherwise, like in Ghost in the Shell.
(And yes, bad typo)

Blitzkrieg1701, March 10th, 2012, 1:41 pm

Well, given the generally dilapidated state of the station, the possibilities aren't QUITE as vast as they might otherwise be. But, given how the day's been going so far, you can bet he'll figure out something that works at EXACTLY the worst moment >:D

Seros Senric (Guest), March 11th, 2012, 1:19 am

Yeah.. At least Life Support isn't a part of the station's systems at this point...
(Also, to sci-fi universes such as Star Trek, what idiots decided to have something as important as Life Support connected to even the least secure terminal on the ship? Important systems should be completely independent on spaceships unless they absolutely need functionality from other systems; ie drive systems and navigation systems might need to talk to each other, but still.)

Blitzkrieg1701, March 11th, 2012, 3:00 am

I very much agree. (In fact, this very issue will be touched upon in the main comic before too long. TEASER!)

Also, keeping all the systems separate makes it harder for the Cylons to infiltrate. :D
