So, what do you think? Does Layla look sad because she doesn't like what Trigger said about her? Does she feel guilty that she blew up at him? Is she just bothered by the very thought of Trigger being mad at her about anything? All of the above?

Well, this is the last of the pages I pounded out before the whole packing/moving/convention thing got really intense. Hopefully, come Friday, we'll start seeing fully-finished pages again, and I'll be going back and completing the last few weeks of comics as well. AND, hopefully, the Killer Station of Deadly Doom will be up and running again soon. But then, I'm still writing all this weeks in advance, so I really have no idea what's going on at the time you read this. Cross your fingers...

EDIT: As I've mentioned before, I AM moved in. At this moment, I'm ALMOST done with Conventional Wisdom's Animazement update. It should all be finished and online by dawn. Also, I have the next couple of days off, and i'll be spending 'em drawing new pages like MAD. If we're lucky, Voting Incentives will be back by Friday. I KNOW the past few weeks of pages will finally be colored in by then!

Poor Layla and Trigger...
Have they actually fought like this before?
Hopefully they apologise to each other soon.

And concerning your first paragraph in author comments, I'm going to go with "all of the above" - it seems like that would be the case.

I for one am looking forward to the resumption of The Killer Station of Deadly Doom.
...And colour for main comic pages would be nice too :P

Aw... she's kinda... I want to hug her.

hehe,ok i'm going to make a very big asumption, after spending a largepraportion of her life with with trigger a person must feel a bond with another person, for arguments sake we'll stick with brother sister as we don't need arguments about match ups, trigger has always been on layalas side and as such she would be taken aback by him being strongily against her, she also has the other side of her that is used to being in control and trigger has usally done what layla said with out question or maybe a couple but now he opposesse her and she has always used him to escape, in summery, she feels very alone.
now for a quick question to the auther, do you plan your story in stages, persay, the time with the pies and you plan a chapter or do you make it all up as you go?

Characters in this comic I feel like I should give a hug to... It'd probably be a shorter list if I named the characters where I don't.

@a fan:
I believe it has been said a few times that they think of each other as siblings, and yes, it does seem like so far that Trigger as always been on Layla's side. I imagine that Layla is feeling rather alone and sad at the moment, and probably wishing that she handled that a bit differently. I would think that it wouldn't be a stretch to say that with all that has happened since Ichabod showed up at her home and took everything away from her that Trigger is probably the only person or thing that she thought that she could rely on, even if she wasn't consciously aware of that. Suddenly having her primary support taken away from under her must be a very distressing circumstance.

That conflicting feeling of "they deserved it" and "maybe I was too harsh."

Oh, THIS got everybody talking. I am pleased.

@Seros Senric: You know, the question of whether or not they've fought like this before is a pretty good one. After all, until very recently, Trigger never actually saw Layla's conniving ways first hand. That's probably why he's making a bigger deal about it AFTER it happened than before: I don't think he fully believed Layla would actually do something like this.

@Bartimaeus: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

@a fan: OOOOOH, an astute observation, there (as is Seros Senric's response)! Yes, as genuinely affectionate as Layla can be towards Trigger, there's is still a somewhat selfish, self-serving aspect to their relationship. Trigger's supposed to be her happy little sidekick who helps her out and cheers her up. That's just how this WORKS. To have him openly challenge her like this... well, it's frightening.

Also, I write things somewhere in between "planed out" and "made up as I go." I do have the broad plot arcs worked out in advance before I start a story, but a lot of the smaller details kind of get thrown in as I go. (for example, the running gag about pies wasn't planned at all. It just sounded funny, so I ran with it)
