Look! Colors other than black or white! And guess what? All the previous weeks pages are colored in too! It's not a perfect job, and I kind of missed a few details in the rush (Jenna's dress has spontaneously lost it's pattern) but on the whole the pages look a lot better than they did before.

I WISH I could say that we had the Killer Station of Deadly Doom back as well, and I really was planning to get some more of those done during my days off this week. But wouldn't you know it, IMMEDIATELY after I got home from work Monday I got gobsmacked by a pretty major cold. Hacking gallons of mucus out of your lungs and tripping out on cold medecine isn't very conducive to productivity, and I didn't get anywhere near as much done as I'd wanted. I doubt I'll have time over the weekend, but hopefully sometime next week I'll get some more Deadly Doom pages drawn and everything will back to normal around here.

Oh, and I guess I should mention the comic itself at some point. This little interlude is actually a last-minute addition, partially because I needed something simple to get back in the groove of drawing again. I like seeing this side of Avatar, though. We've seen so much of her being grumpy and being wise beyond her (apparent) years, it's kinda neat to see her as just a normal little girl looking for someone to play with.

I must admit, that my first thoughts on seeing this page was "Ooh! I saw some colour!"
I then proceeded to actually read the page.

I find the first speech bubble amusing, how it says to bring in any laundry, signs, pets or indestructible little girls :P (although I have no idea why laundry or pets should be outside the ship...)
Also, the sign "Do not enter unless you are supposed to" on the side of the airlock door facing out.

I do like the three panels of Avatar checking in on the other kids.

Also, Ichabod always has an apple.
I am not surprised to see him on the Fruit Of The Loon page.

The addition of shading and colour to the previous page doesn't make Layla look any less miserable...

Hey color! Glad to see your life is calming down a little at least (hope you feel better). I'm also glad to see a funny comic to lighten up the mood a little.

@ Seros
Hanging laundry in space would actually be a great way to dry it as all the water would evaporate instantly. As for signs... people will place adds anywhere I guess. Pets would just be a bad idea.

After taking 3 dogs on a walk for half an hour, a new colored comic strip feels good, especially when it has more... Who is the main character, again?
*goes back to look at the colored comics

I suspect pets refers specifically to Blip.
P.S. Archive blitz!
