I'm pretty sure Layla KNEW Avatar would want to know more, which is why her "skipping over the rest" didn't ENTIRELY skip over all of the rest.

I wish I was happier about this page than I am. I mean, I'm not UNhappy with it or anything. Still, I tried doing some things differently, which only resulted in the page taking a LOT longer than it needed to. Heck, I could have just inked the rough draft and had this update done by midnight with no real difference. I know, whaa whaa whaa...

Still, I DO like that last panel. Fun fact: I deliberately avoided working out how Layla's plan would unfold because I knew it'd turn out funnier if I just made up some crazy crap at the last minute. And there you have it: Space Bison. Don't lie, you want to know how the heck that happened just as badly as Avatar does.

Next, The Killer Station of Deadly Doom. Has anyone else noticed a weird bit of equilibrium regarding who gets the spotlight when in these comics? It seems like whenever the main comic is focusing on secondary characters, Ichabod is hogging the spotlight in the incentives, and whenever the main cast is alone in the main comics, the incentives are all about completely unrelated characters. I wish I was doing this this on purpose!

Finally, HEY! Did you remember that we have a Forum? 'Cos... I kinda didn't. Yeah, busy busy blah blah blah. But yeah, that's still a thing!

EDIT (THIS IS IMPORTANT): Okay, My computer crapped out on me AGAIN last night, and this time there's no telling when (or if) I can get it fixed again. As much as I hate to say it, all updates are off for the time being. I'm REALLY sorry, guys, but like so much of life, this suckiness is far beyond my control...

Missed commenting on previous page, and unfortunately it seems that is likely to happen again soon :(

Last page, yeah, Layla, you really should learn a bit more about what is usual for people. Also, like how Ichabod and Avatar are just disgruntled, while Trigger is full on disgust.

Current page:
Personally, I think Layla manipulating them into letting her tell her story also doesn't help her case (but I want to hear the story too!)

Incentives:
I don't think he realised that the reason he gave for wearing robot parts was effectively that his human body was gross, and yet pays no attention to that wearing the second hand parts of robots could be considered gross. Not to mention the frothing of the mouth.
Current incentive he seems to be a bit saner.

Concerning character equilibrium: The Higher Ups From Beyond The Void seems to enjoy equality in your comic.

Indeed, I have been enjoying the comic immensely. Although how much that has to do with equality or it just being an awesome webcomic, I don't know.

Also, yay more story time.

Really? Can't we say the super villains she met had some really weird fetishes, further causing the daddy's girl behaviour? :x

What a bunch of hippies.

All she did was get rid of some stupid trees and grass to allow for valuable economical development that gave jobs to people who would otherwise starve to death on the street.

Blitzkrieg1701, August 28th, 2012, 2:12 pm

@MrTTAO: Well, that assumes that everything went according to plan, and since The Plan didn't involve space bison or The Blues... well, we'll just have to wait and see.

@Stick: This IS Ichabod we're talking about. He won't be satisfied until he's been as annoying as possible.

@Endless Void: :D

@Seros Senric: Trigger just can't bring himself to believe that Layla's as bad bad as everyone says she is, even when she says it herself.

If Vance's behavior changes from page to page, does that make him MORE or LESS unstable than if he was consistently, reliably hostile all the time?

MrTTAO, August 28th, 2012, 3:46 pm

Well, trigger has known her and been her close (and only) friend since early childhood. People rarely know themselves and need an outside observer and with her dad gone that leaves only trigger.

Plus she repeatedly shows that she has a conscience.

Blitzkrieg1701, August 28th, 2012, 6:32 pm

...which is what Ichabod's getting at, in his own irritating way. Layla clearly DOES consider some things more important than money, and he wants to hear it acknowledged.

"Manipualting superviliains" CAN help her case. Just Evil versus Evil trope.
