This is another page I'm not that happy with, and I could go into lots and lots of detail as to why... but it's very late and I'm very tired, so I won't (at least, not now)

One thing I Am happy about, though: I really love that drawing of Layla sitting in Daddy's lap. I think we've discovered her Happy Place.

Another thing I actually am happy with, today's voting incentive. I made myself laugh, which is always nice.

I think the incentive was more a evil mastermind laugh than a comedy laugh, but now I can't wait to see what happens next time.

Also, small nitpick: The government gave up declaring what?

Fixed

I don't like de Kantner so much anymore...
Not so much how he's a freeloader (I mean Layla is too), but LOOK HOW SAD HE MADE WIDDLE LAYLA

Blitzkrieg1701, October 12th, 2012, 12:39 pm

I know, right? BOOOOO!!!

I know the biggest problem! What happened to rainbow hair at the last panel. D:

Then again, as the public white elephant, he can easily be framed out of the picture so...well, his ultimate enemy is probably a nitpicker. :p

Blitzkrieg1701, October 12th, 2012, 2:15 pm

In the original drawing you could see if whole head, and if it'd stayed that way I probably would have colored the hair in. But after I erased the upper half, it just didn't seem worth the trouble of just coloring the remaining bits (plus, the shading might have interfered with the text).

I guess what I'm saying is, I in no way left his hair white because I was in a hurry and just wanted to go to bed already. That's totally ridiculous. Who told you that?

Her sad look at giving away money...

Hello again, good sir.
Tradition time!

"and didn't give a crap [what] had led to it"
and also
"in the original drawing you could see IF whole head..."

And for a different tradition, the museum says "(Well, actually just a model)". Reminds me of that scene in Zoolander.

Nothing more to say, except thank you for making this story happen. (And that I AM sort of sad that the philantropist is no such).

Edit: Aaaaand I made a typo. But you don't get to read that. Nyanyanya. Unless this thing keeps edit logs, I guess.

WHOA! I can't believe somebody actually managed to read the sign! I was SURE I'd scaled it down too far for anyone to make out. Well done! (And yes, totally a Zoolander shout-out)

I just gotta add: "Blind Legs Parker" has got to be one of the best blues singers names ever.

Blitzkrieg1701, October 13th, 2012, 12:38 am

True Fact: I actually made that name my running my own name through this "Find Your Blues Name" thinggie somebody posted on Facebook.

I am still laughing at DeKantner being called 'a showboating bum'.

Prime Locale?
I just thought of something. They built a museum on the location of the wrecked park. But why exactly did Layla's clients want a parking lot there?
On the grey goop page with the map, there did't appear to be anything nearby besides the 'kind of cool' part, which I assumed to be Blind Legs Parker's shack. Layla even said it was uninhabited wilderness. So, what was the parking lot going to be for?
