TAA DAA!!!!!
OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH FIVE HUNDRED PAGES. And that's not even counting holiday stuff and voting incentives! Thank you all SO MUCH for sticking around and reading this thing for so long!

And as a reward, you're all getting AN EXTRA PAGE TOMORROW! Yep, that's right, there's gonna be a whole new page up here Wednesday! This is partially because, milestone or not, I feel kind of bad when I use half a page for patting myself on the back rather than advancing the plot. But it's ALSO because *drumroll please* CHRISTMAS PAGES START UP ON FRIDAY! Yup, the traditional 25 Pages of December Christmas Far Out There have rolled over into a 26th day during November (as Christmas is wont to do) Sorry, but I needed one extra page to flesh out our holiday story. I think you'll all enjoy it, though!

But you wanna know something that WON'T change over the next couple weeks? VOTING INCENTIVES! We finally have another new one! Hopefully, The Killer Station of Deadly Doom will keep updating Tuesday and Friday as usual, so keep an eye on these comments (or the Facebook page or my Twitter) to remind you when new comics will be available. Or, you know, you could just vote for Far Out There... but you already do that, don't you?

(OH! Also, props to Antonio for basically figuring out what's up with the Captain's helmet before I got around to explaining it! You guys are so smart!)

They got lucky, any lower and they would have hit that 0 before they even saw it.

Also, congratulations! Here's to 500 more (and hopefully even more after that).

Yay page 500!

Power drainage effecting nearly everything except Avatar could be a problem. I wonder... How's the artificial gravity work on this ship? Can it work without power for any length of time?
Heating and breathable atmosphere shouldn't be a problem for a while even if their systems are completely offline - it takes a while to use up all the air in the room, and unless soemthign touches the ship the heat doesn't really have anywhere to go. Unless the engines are actually still running and generating heat which isn't being dispersed properly...

It already being established that killer robots are easily deceived into thinking that you are also a kille rrobot by simply wearing old robot parts.

<Nitpicker> And how does an ever-mysterious phenomena such as this happens to nicely show the words "500 pages"?

<Stick> It's called artist impression. It doesn't really exist but we are looking at this through his eyes.

<Nitpicker> How can we see through his eyes.

<Stick> It's called a web-comic for a reason.

(You may insert the next Nitpicker's statement here)

Thanks guys! :D

Seros Senric: The question of the life support and gravity and stuff will be addressed as soon as the Christmas pages are over (I meant to get that out of the way before, but the schedule got wonked up) I can't give any hints here, though, cos it's IMPORTANT PLOT STUFF.

Stick: The ship blindly stumbled into a rift in the 4th Wall and briefly drifted out of canon. :)

Antonio (Guest), November 27th, 2012, 7:18 pm

Nonononono, you have to make it a canonical (relatively) huge "500 pages" sign that is out there in space for some ridiculously complex and involved reason, and that will be crucial to one or more plots here.

Also, it'd obviously be artificial.

Seros Senric (Guest), November 27th, 2012, 9:23 pm

It was going to adorn the biggest birthday cake in the galaxy, but then it floated away while nobody was looking.

...Actually, I'm more concerned with where the shadow is coming from. Sure it's needed to help gauge distance, etc, but, just what light source is there nearby? It doesn't look right for if it was from a star.
But then, I guess I don't tend to spend much time in deep space looking at shadows.

Blitzkrieg1701, November 27th, 2012, 9:51 pm

I was actually going to make a smartalek-y remark about the ship's shadow... but then it would have drawn attention to how sloppy the lighting in the FIRST panel is, so I backed off.

.......wait... CRAP.

Seros Senric (Guest), November 27th, 2012, 11:13 pm

Wait... The first panel has lighting?
