And now, my obligatory "Hey, remember how this was originally a religious holiday?" page. Honestly, though, this is totally the sort of thing the Cap'n would do if he owned an inn somewhere in Bethlehem. I like when I can do something like this and still be true to the characters.

I ALSO like when I can do a page that really looks FINISHED. Way too many of the Christmas pages this year really needed to have their line art cleaned up and colors collected. THIS one, though? I really like how the lighting worked out. Very nice atmosphere and junk.

I found the title text amusing.

I was going to mention Wise Men as well, but technically that was a later event. Ichabod would not have approved.

Yes, they were at a house by the time the magi got there.

For some reason I imagined the two in front of the Cap'n there to be Ichabod and Avatar. Crazy or am I somehow reading your mind?

@Zaealix: Yeah, I got that impression for a couple seconds while the picture was loading.

In other news, I made a Christmas dungeon crawl again this year, and you should all check it out and stuff:

Seros...I hate to rain on your parade...but that game...needs way...too much more work...

For starters, I had to half-kill my fingers just walking around town; and I didn't even go into the dungeons yet.

I enjoyed this old dungeon crawl much more called Castle of the Winds and actually replayed that one recently.

So yeah. Rain over.
