So, I actually DO want to comment of the page this time, but... I'm just too SLEEPY. This one just took a lot longer than it really had any business taking. Namely, I realized too late that I'd drawn ichabod in his coat/scarf outfit (as seen in the Voting Incentives) rather than the one he's been wearing in previous pages, so I had to fix that, and I was already running late to begin with and blah blah blah.

So yeah, I do like the finished product, so I'll just leave it at that.

Well, that and New Voting Incentive!

So...meh?

*Darns the complete lack of intelligent remarks to pass about the content since there isn't much nitpick-able this round*

Well, I figure this won't be awkward for TOO long...But we will see.

So, here's what I was going to say about the page before my brain failed on me:

This page was more fun to write than you might think from looking at it. It was an interesting creative exercise to figure out how they'd actually get the information Tabitha needs TO Tabitha with almost everything not working (and we're not entirely past that obstacle yet)

What's more, I like how well the dialog reflects everyone's personality, even though nobody's really saying THAT significant: Tabitha talks a lot, Trigger's basically an excited puppy, Avatar's a bundle of information, Ichabod's already a step ahead of everybody, and Layla's basically just doing her own thing. (It's like that first scene of Reservoir Dogs where they basically spell out everyone's role in the film via the small talk!)

...I feel like apologising for not commenting earlier...

Trigger and Avatar look so happy to be able to do something. Again.

I'm not sure if it's the case, but I kind of envision that Ichabod has already got the cargo list, just a short distance away and is going to pretend it will take a while to get it to avoid being given any other tasks that may or may not be required.
I feel like he would have at least skimmed over it to see if he saw anything that could possibly cause it. But, of course, with things like a popcorn maker being labelled as "Super Apocalypse Nightmare Device" I'm not sure how much that would have helped.

Either that or he was too busy entertaining Layla the entire time.

Incentive:
I keep thinking it should have more horizontal momentum... Unless the gravity isn't pointing directly down, instead slightly towards the wall the robots are.
(Floor, walls, and ceiling are dependant on your PoV)

I feel for Layla on this page: Stuck in a life and death situation, unable to help and all she can do is make small talk with some one she doesn't know that well.

Zaealix (Guest), February 11th, 2013, 9:11 am

Layla might object to it, but she's basically been a fish out of water half of the time-when mechanical issues arise, she's helpless, and this stuff happens ALOT...Cross that with her personality, and she's probably coming off as less of a 'person in a bad situation' and more of a 'load dragging everyone else down.'
She does seem to have some degree of luck to granting her relevance, for better or for worse...

Oh rest assured, Layla will find a way to contribute to the team effort (though it probably won't be in a way you expect)
