Eldricth abomination is usually the FIRST option I consider. Every time. No mater what.

And after finally bringing back normal coloring, I do a page that's mostly line art. I'm weird like that.

That said, I really enjoyed doing this page. It's nice to just cut loose and draw some crazy critters, and I think these critters turned out very nicely. The question is, will the actual cause of all this actually resemble anything on this page? DUN DUN DUUUUUN?!?!?!?

Also, Tabitha's parenthetical comment about the anomaly option turned out nicer than I expected. Originally, I just wanted to head off the inevitable observation that "energy eating something" is a plot device Far Out There has used before (I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen anyone mention that yet). But as I wrote the line out, that little bit where Tabitha defends her father just naturally wormed it's way in, and I think it's another nice moment for her. No matter what, she's gotta look out for poor, crazy Dad, right?

Finally, there's a new Voting Incentive, and by that I DON'T mean I finally posted the one I hadn't finished Friday. No, THAT one went online Sunday, this is a really, honstly NEW new one. If you didn't tune in over the weekend and missed that update, though, have no fear. I went ahead and update the Incentive Gallery, so you can go get caught up if you need (and I hope you do, 'cos the previous Incentive has a nice character moment of its own)

Lots of possibilities, including gremlins apparently :)
I found "slightly supernatural anomalies" amusing. I wonder if some sort of spirit is known to absorb energy or something.
(and I didn't even notice your spelling mistake until I wrote that)

Tabitha pointing out that it's not the kind of thing her dad caused is kinda sweet :)

And yes, being eaten by an eldrich abomination is a possible cause for nearly anything that goes wrong.
Including not having your homework.

Incentive:
For some reason it didn't show up for me on TWC... I did see the one that went up Saturday though, and yeah, that is something he still doesn't seem very good at.
For the new one, luckily Photobucket came to the rescue, and Ichabod's right, that's almost as bad as saying "What could possibly go wrong?"

That or you are just all affected by an uncanny event that randomly occurs across space and time which will eventually end returning everything back to normal for the most convenient answer one can give to a nitpicking nitpicker.

*Breathe*

OOPS! Somehow I seem to have told TWC to hide the new Incentive until next week. Figures the one time I get that work is when I don't want it too. Well, it's fixed now, as is the typo :D

Aww, I get home a few hours late and somebody gets the typos instead? Maaaaan.

Kidding, the third paragraph thing is missing its "could".

Also, c'mon, the actual cause of all this is going to resemble the thing that Superweapon released a bit ago, OBVIOUSLY.

Oh, but the REAL questing is what hatched out of it/is getting projected by it/exploded out of it/it transformed into! >:D

Nice to see you not simply have the resident scientist pull the answer our of her a... thin air.

Also, since some of the options are artificial and there are mad scientists, i don't see why it can't also be none of the above... a brand new X created by mad science (or even natural but previously unknown)

You know, that actually would have made a much better punch line than the Lovecraft joke. DRAT!
