Okay, and now back to our ACTUAL plot, which isn't actually Sailor Moon related at all. If you're confused by that sentence, then you obviously didn't check in Yesterday to see Fa r Out There's latest April Fool's silliness. Well, I strongly advise you go back and check it out, especially to provide some context for my closing announcement.

But first, let's ramble about the page itself. Yeah, I know nobody was missing the Wall of Text, especially when it's nothing but technobabble. However, I think I did something marginally clever this time: I didn't make up any of that technospeak, it's all swiped directly from TVTropes and various SciFi wikis. If you really wanna get your geek on, read carefully and see how many buzzwords you can trace back to their original franchise!

Of course, it's not like it actually matters what any of that jargon really means. As we've seen time and again, "it's mad science" is basically Far Out There's version of "a wizard did it."

Oh, and speaking of mad scientists, SWEET HOLY POUNDCAKES, LITTLE CHIBI TABITHA TURNED OUT ADORABLE. I gotta find some excuses to use that drawing again.

Now, on to the unpleasant part: I really hope everyone goes back and enjoys th e April Fool's page because it cost us today's Voting Incentive. As I mentioned before, I couldn't get started on yesterday's page until long after I should have, a literal 24-hour work day kind of takes it out of a guy. Thus, I had to drop SOMETHING from this update if I was gonna get it done without collapsing (Frankly, if this page hadn't been two-thirds text, I'm not even sure I could have finished IT). Everything will be back to normal Friday, though. For real!

Frankly, it would have been far funnier if you had Ichabod and however-superdad-is-called-I-forgot back at the station become magical girls.

As for the technobable, let me see...
"Tachyon pulse" sounds like Watchmen, but I can't guarantee you got it fromthere.
Proton packs and flux capacitors are from Ghostbusters and Back to the Future, respectively. No ifs, no buts.
And "reversing the polarity" is just too obvious and omnipresent, so I'm going to guess that's the one you got from TvTropes.
Aaand, I'm out. Oh, well.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize how important tachyons are to Watchmen. I just grabbed it out of The Big Pile Of Words Star Trek Likes To Use. Good call!

Also, "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" is kind of a Classic Doctor Who injoke.

I agree. Chibi Tabi needs to happen more often.

I believe that this calls for an entire crew's cast dressed as magical girls! Everyone on the ship, even the creepy guy! *Laughs* What's his name? Haven't seen him in a while, can totally imagine him in red and pink! *ROFLS* And all the other characters, too!

*imagines that*

Too... much... technobable...

Is it bad if I understood this?
'Cause I did.

Wasn't Avatar built to store the sum total of mankind's information? By a cabal of self-important mad scientists? Each of whom would have considered their own life's work the pinnacle of human achievement? Resulting in Questionably-Coherent-Technobabble being Avatar's de facto second language?
