In my rough draft, large portions of the text was just "blah blah blah". I'm pretty sure that's what most of you will see anyway.

So... THIS took a while, didn't it? Sorry it took so long, but I had another one of those inspiration meets stupidity moments where I up and changed the page at the last minute. Whenever that happens, "The Last Minute" ends up being many, many hours away from when the page actually gets finished.

Originally, this page was almost entirely technobabble, and that's just not a good idea. I mean, I was literally raised on Star Trek, so I really don't mind pseudo-scientific jargon. I just accept it as the way future people talk and let it sweep me up in the illusion that these people know what they're doing. But even I know there needs to be some actual plot at the end of it all, hence the rewrite.

But hey, it means we get a reminder that Trigger's still in this comic, so that turned out well (and for you Nitpickers out there, the reason the usually tech-savvy Trigger is so out of his depth is because he's all about PRACTICAL technology, not the Mad Science Tabitha's all about)

Oh, and there's a new Voting Incentive too, in which all the words actually MEAN something.

Avatar: "How can you do that? ...Oh, right. Mad Science."

Another small reminder that Avatar has experienced a lot of different things over the years. (Although I can think of at least one thing she hasn't experienced, and likely never will.)

Oh, and you messed up your TWC link. Thought you might want to know.

Incentive: You know, both helping him and leaving him seem like bad ideas to me.

...and THAT'S why I don't need to be writing out html after working on a comic all night. (fixed)

Also, now I'm all curious about what that one thing is.

Seros Senric (Guest), July 19th, 2013, 12:36 pm

Trying to decide whether or not to say what that one thing is...
If I do, it won't be as a comment on the comic though. Probably a forum post or email. For reasons. Which may or may not be evident on discovery of what the one thing is. I really should be asleep.

Didn't the mad scientists upload all knowledge ever to her brain?

Seros Senric (Guest), July 22nd, 2013, 10:20 am

@MrTTAO
Only what they had on hand. That's partly why they sent her into the universe to learn everything else. (They just didn't think that step through properly)
The other reason they sent her out is because new stuff is being discovered all the time, so althoguh her given purpose is to know everything ever, it's not as if she does, and the odds are against her attaining that just becuase she can't be everywhere at once.

...I appear to get verbose when I am tired.

Blitzkrieg1701, July 22nd, 2013, 10:44 am

All of that is true

(Including the part about verbose tiredness)

My Word!
Some of that actually made sense!
