Oh Layla, you're so much fun. :D

I really do love how many different aspects of her personality we get to see here. Yeah, she's a spoiled, impatient little brat who's not afraid to pitch a fit whenever anything annoys her. And yet, a lot of her good qualities are on display, too. She's persistent and dedicated, and capable of reining in that bratty streak JUST enough to do what needs to be done. What's more, that powerful Big Sister Instinct reminds us that there actually is a caring, compassionate girl underneath that gruff exterior.

Also, I got to write a really bizarre and nonsensical sign in this page. IT'S BEEN SO LONG!!

And then there's the new Voting Incentive, which has as few words as this comic has many. Enjoy!

On the bright side, Alphonse looks really happy.

Avatar may have a younger physical appearance than Layla, but she's old enough to be able to act mature more consistently.
And be able to play like a little girl.
And possibly combine those to creep people out, but we haven't seen much of that yet.

Someone should probably tell Layla to avoid that pose while she's wearing that suit.

Speaking of Layla and Avatar, there appears to be a new member on the forum.

Concerning your title-text... Are you saying that the reason my starship didn't work properly is because I didn't put in an emergency mayonnaise chute? Because I was sure it was a problem with my calculations concerning the dynamical Casimir effect...

Nobody could possibly have seen this coming, and there is no sarcasm here at all.

One of the robots needs to be able to speak so he can say "...clever dad".

Also, the third panel should be "He needs...".

Typo fixed! Thanks!

Layla's pose in the last panel gave me all sorts of trouble. At first, she was going to be standing up, banging her head in frustration. Unfortunately, that just didn't work with the layout (I'd either have to drop panels elsewhere, or draw her so small that the motion wouldn't be clear) Then I went through, like, five different alternate poses before I found one I actually liked... so by the time I realized it was also a Gratuitous Butt Shot, I was too tired to care.

Incentive: Love that self-satisfied smirk! Excellent bit of artwork!
