GASP! A color other than black, white, or yellow! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!?!?!? I probably should have done the same thing as Tuesday's page, and provided some cute chibi illustrations of the stuff Layla's talking about... but too many of these Layla/Disonar pages have been driven by corner cutting methods, so I really wanted to do something actually NICE to look at for once. (and, well, Layla...)

Speaking of Layla, let's not forget that shoe knows EXACTLY how badly the whole "rip off bad guys" thing can go if you don't plan it out well enough. I thought about having her directly reference that little incident in the page... but Layla's main objective right now is to show off how much smarter she is than anyone else. Admitting how badly she screwed something up in the past would be rather counter-productive (and let's face it, she's not going to be in a hurry to revisit that under ANY circumstances)

Now, back to my frantic quest to get enough pages finished to cover Otakon (fun fact, this is been written a week ago. HELLO FROM THE PAST!!!)

Sudden Realisation panels are always good.

Layla understands stuff that she understands.
Finally something going horribly wrong where she might actually be able to help! :P

Also, I saw something on the forum.
Maybe it does get some use occasionally?

Waitwaitwait. How do you get that she'll be able to help? She also has no money and is desperate for something. That's about her whole schtick, right now.

Indeed, how COULD she help? ...I guess we'll just have to TUNE IN NEXT WEEK AND SEE!!! :)

Also, YAY YAY YAY NEW FAN ART! I'm going ahead and updating the page NOW so that I don't forget again.

So you've got a guy playing informant, and he's the dude keeping the heat off the crooks, and he decided to sell out.
How to get away with it...
How far along is he with the whole 'diversion' act? Maybe he could cut and run early...
Or he could say something about okay my act's wearing thin now, or otherwise suggest that the deal might be busted on by some random loose-cannon type young copper. The idea is, give the crooks a 'slight' tip-off that they should scatter, to prevent them from thinking that he's the one to blame.

Naw, he dug himself waaaaaaay too deep for that. He needs the money he'd get from selling those weapons himself, and the only way he can get those weapons is if his dirty cop pals give 'em to him, and the only way THEY'LL have them is if they arrest all the gun smugglers and take 'em. If these guys run, they'll either take their goods with them or destroy them so there's no evidence.

And anyway, as Layla points out, these guys are just mean people. If it was Disonar's job to keep the cops from showing up, and the cops show up, someone will try to punish Disonar on general principal. Remember Layla's disastrous first job: she TECHNICALLY covered her tracks, but everyone tried to get back at her anyway. Things only cleared up when her Dad introduced distractions like Space Buffalo and Blues Museums to divert everyone's attention. As it stands, Disonar's plan has no such distractions.

...gosh, I hope that made sense. I've kind of been up for about 30 hours at this point, so I really shouldn't be trying to word right now...
