ASTRID IS MORE THAN SHE SEEMS! WHAT A TOTALLY UNEXPECTED TWIST THAT HASN'T BEEN FORESHADOWED IN ANY WAY AND MOST CERTAINLY WASN'T ALREADY SPECULATED ABOUT MANY WEEKS AGO!

So, this is another page I mostly bashed out before MAGFest, but THIS time I really like it. Just kinda awesome, ya know? Awesomeness is fun.

Alas, I was not able to get a new Voting Incentive ready to go along with this page. Those Conventional Wisdom MAGFest comics are taking even longer than the Ichibancon ones, and this time there's more of them. HOPEFULLY I'll have enough done for everything to go back to normal around here next Tuesday... just in time to start scrambling to get ready for Katsucon. Man, I do the worst things to myself...

Awesome Astrid is awesome...

Snowskeeper, January 30th, 2015, 1:51 am

Huh. I probably should have seen that coming.

(Gun looks much better in this panel. Plain, but serviceable. The sort of thing a military scientist who cared less about flashing lights and more about efficiency would design.)

Seros Senric (Guest), January 30th, 2015, 2:30 am

I fully expected Astrid to have already done this.
Also, she looks pretty cool in this page, and I keep forgetting her name.

But, being noticeably knowledgable about how to properly use guns when Stilez is around seems like it could easily backfire.
Let's hope her next move is to get them away from all of this.

Maybe with Trigger's help.

...Gotta say, this goes a ways towards making Astrid cool. I wonder if she's Far Out There's version of James Bond or something along those lines?

Disonar's hair alone will break the color budget.

(Also I actually dind't mind the leafblower guns on the previous page either)

I KNEW IT

Sorry to do this, but...

Canon: 1. An Official body of work. (i.e The Sherlock Holmes canon by Sir A. Conan Doyle.) 2. A body of laws, usually internal to a particular organization. (i.e. Church Canon or Judicial Canon.) 3. In music, one or more themes played repeatedly with parts overlapping. A round. (i.e. Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D.)

Cannon: 1. A large gun or artillery piece, usually mounted. 2. A large caliber aircraft-mounted gun, generally 20 mm and up.

[/pedant]

It fires the official, codified works of teryon beams.

Terryon Beams should never have signed over his copyrights to the Promellians. His work really went downhill from there. It didn't even jump the shark; it straight up shot a bunch in the head.

Zaealix (Guest), February 1st, 2015, 2:57 pm

Sooo these cannons are head-asploders that work by filling your head with canon until it overloads? Nasty!

Antonio (Guest), February 2nd, 2015, 2:20 pm

Hahahaha, CALLED IT!

...probably
