Either there's some really intense perspective and foreshortening going on, or that ship is shrinking.

Alas, all this dramatic red and purple will have to make up for the lack of a new Voting Incentive today. I'll Try to get at least ONE more up at some point before the end of the month, but with all the Animazement & Conventional Wisdom stuff going on, there's no telling when it'll be... so, clearly, the only course of action is TO KEEP CHECKING THE SITE AND VOTING EVERY DAY UNTIL SOMETHING NEW SHOWS UP!

They need to abandon ship before Stilez forces them to abandon it!

So... Stillez has superpowers. Maybe not the power to make things shink, more likely contactual telekinesis. In other words, she can move things with her mind, so long as she's touching it. What she's currently doing is the obvious weaponisation of telekinesis - using it to compress or crush something.

Blitzkrieg1701, May 17th, 2015, 6:31 am

...actually that WOULD be a way to explain how she can perform feats of strength that her body mass shouldn't allow for.

OR it could just be that her body is just built in some mad sciency way that allows her body to possess far more mass than it appears (which is similar to my explanation for how she can be so strong without any visible muscles) ...or a combination of the two. That's always possible.

...crap, I just suggested that Stilez is part TARDIS, didn't I?

If she was that heavy all the time, she would've crashed the ship by jumping on it, or broken the floor by standing on it. Maybe her mass is changeable?

Seros Senric (Guest), May 17th, 2015, 10:16 pm

She could be clinging to the floor somehow. Maybe she smashed her feet through the floor to use them as footholds?

It's probably because the Mad Science that created her, like ALL the science in this comic, runs on PlotConvenienconium. :)

@ Stillez Body Type: Stillez is, like Avatar, a unique individual. However, while Avatar's a Living Memory Bank, Stillez is an Ultimate War Machine.

As such, it could be said that Stillez has several layers of danger. For example, yes, I do think that she should have the Tactile Telekinesis. This, in my "make crap up because I can fan headcannon", was origionally developed to be Stillez's armour, and is why she can take on deadly weapon blasts and only be tickled. Stillez has since weaponised this, but, hey, she's the Ultimate War Machine.

Additionally, that same fan headcannon says Stillez's strength comes from a transdimensional body. No, this doesn't mean that she's "bigger on the inside", in this case. It means that part of her body is on a different, and much emptier, dimension of existance to what we know. She then brings those parts of her body through to this plain of existance when she needs to use it.

And, hey, since Mad Scientists were brought up, let's say that the other plain of existance is pretty much empty because a Mad Scientist wanted somewhere to hide their booze which was easily transportable. They blew up most of what existed on that plain of existance for a space about the same size as an average fridge. This, also, happened about 50 years before Stillez's creation started, and the Mad Scientist in question was killed while participating in an Apple Bobbing competition a week after they made their trans-dimensional fridge. :3

Trans-dimensional Fridges are TOTALLY the sort of crap that Far Out There scientists would spend their time and energy building :)

While I don't know if Stilez having transdimensional strength will end up being a thing (not because it isn't a good idea or anything, but because it'd be more complicated to write around than just "No, seriously, she's REALLY strong") I am intrigued by this line of thought. It's giving me flashbacks to Alan Moore's work on Marvelman... and I'll be really impressed if anyone else gets what I'm talking about.

Darius Drake (Guest), May 19th, 2015, 5:22 am

Well, that all depends on how you present this information. If it's in an "extra's" book, that's the type of information people buying it would want to know. If it's in comic, Stillez... probably wouldn't know or care about that. The most likely person to know is probably Ichabod, who I suspect might have been around when Stillez was released, and thus the most likely person to have seen notes on her creation that she hasn't brutally murdered.

My personal speculation on Stilez's powers: She really weighs as much as Mt. Everest, but nobody notices because most buildings are made of nearly indestructible supermaterials. When she needs to exert herself, she converts a tiny fraction of her mass into energy, and uses that energy to power her "muscles."

This theory has the advantage of boiling down to "No, seriously, she's REALLY strong."
