I keep saying that, one year, I'm gonna do a Christmas something in a snow-less setting. You know, all grey and rainy and in the upper 50s. Something of all us Southerners who are just a TAD annoyed at how a bunch of New Englanders decided what Christmas was supposed to look like for the whole world... and then I sit down to actually draw a page, see all that blank white space, and the temptation to have less to color in is just too much.

But yeah! The Christmas cavalcade begins! We're gonna have a new color comic every day from now until the 25th, and I've got some fairly nifty surprises in store along the way. So strap in!

...and if you're already getting sick of Christmas stuff, don't worry. Voting Incentives and Patreon comics will keep going in the usual manner. Oh, and you can always keep discussing Ichabod/Stilez theories to pass the time, too :D

This is the closest anyone has ever sat to Vengeance before, isn't it? And for a whole car trip, too! Aieeeeeee!

@ Blitz: Do a Christmas in a place like the Southern Hemisphere, where it's Summer at Christmas time. For references:

Here, a link to "Aussie Jingle Bells": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnJ8jsw4BSo

And a nice song about the "replacement" for Santa's reindeer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXnR3zBFzq4

@ Number 6: Nah, he's friends with Blip. Thus Blip's probably sat on his lap before. He seems the type to do that just because he can.

@ Ichabod in the comic: Ichabod, you KNOW your place in the comic's the source of exposition for the audience. Sheesh, calm down.

@ Trigger in the comic: How did they force you to sit up the front? I would have thought that you would have wanted to sit up the back with Skye. Or were you too nervous to try to sit next to her?

Tabitha would be the only one to sit that close to Vengeance without question. (Who know. Maybe she's even a super fan of his, for some weirdly scientific reason.)

@Stefan - Tabitha maybe. And Bridget is probably creeped out but won't ever admit it. But poor, timid, cautious, easily-creeped-out little Alphonse is right there next to him! How is that possible? I imagine that Vengeance sat down after they got in and Tabitha has instructed Alphonse not to turn around and look behind him at any cost for the duration of the trip. Which is probably already making him very nervous as it is.

The honest answer: I wasn't really paying attention to who was where in that panel. Honestly, we should've only seen the very top of Vengeance's head poking up from the back. The fact that we can see him clearly, but AVATAR is mostly obscured is kind of a big mistake on my part.

In fact, he should probably be sitting with the luggage, for reasons no one is willing to ask about.
