Awww dang it, looks like he screwed up and posted this week's Conventional Wisdom comic on the Far Out There site again... Except it wouldn't say "page 2" if that was what happened... Wait, what is this? Why are there Conventional Wisdom characters in this Far Out There series? WHAT'S GOING ON?

...he said, as if anyone reading this hadn't already figured out what was going on. :D

...that wasn't entirely a joke, though. I actually have loaded a new page from one comic on the other's page. More than once. Professional Internet person, right here.

well at least they have Marauding Magical Girl Repellent. (The hat is so effective, the mere sight of it causes them to Flee in Terror!)

By the way Blitz, are the lines in your glasses supposed to be clock hands or are they to indicate reflectiveness? Never been quite sure myself.

Blitzkrieg1701, December 2nd, 2015, 12:02 am

It's a kind-of-sort-of-reflection. You know how I usually draw eyes with a sort of crescent moon/reflection spot on the top right? I was trying to approximate that on the glasses, since they looked too blank otherwise.

ah, well just my observation but it isn't as obvious the effect you're trying to achieve when you do it on a flat color, works fine for uncovered eyes or more stylized goggles/glasses though.

oh also i hope my last comment didn't come across as rude, it's my first time commenting in this manner and the intent was to be as constructive as possible.

makogun2000: Naw, I get that all the time.

WE: Aww dang it, I thought I'd turned the safeties off already. I LIVE DANGEROUSLY.

Now, the question is... wait, there's actually a few that I need to ask:

1. What will happen when Ichabod meets his Cosplayer.

2. Will anyone realise that your Conventional Wisdom Avatar is (supposedly) the one responsible for coming up with their problems?

3. Who will Skye befriend first?

4. Will Jenna start drooling over either of the male Convention Kiddies?

5. AND MORE... that I can't actually be bothered to look up the character names for so to properly/understandably ask them.

"Cozy, quaint little country locations like this are where all the best Christmas specials happen!"

And murders, too! Can't forget the murders!

With the huge number of characters you've got already in Far Out There, I would have thought that all the safeties were already turned off, but I guess you were just under the limit. You know, turning those off is going to void your Warranty.

@Darius Drake - "2. Will anyone realise that your Conventional Wisdom Avatar is (supposedly) the one responsible for coming up with their problems?" - Ooooh, he may want to stay far, far away from Layla, seeing as how murdered her father to create plot advancement and character depth. Ouch.

Blitzkrieg1701, December 2nd, 2015, 1:58 pm

For simplicity's sake, the Main Character of Conventional Wisdom is not also the Omnipotent Creator of Far Out There. At least, not in these comics, he isn't. He's just another fictional character in this context.

Sounds to me like said character is just scared of Layla. ;)

(Which is totally understandable)
