Deep down, he's thinking "Dang it, the convention always makes me put shoes on, even if going barefoot is totally true to the character design, but THIS guy just gets to run around everywhere and nobody says anything?"

So, I thought I had this page totally finished -like, I had everything colored and the text was in place and everything- before I realized I'd totally forgotten to draw Avatar in the back. Because this is a totally professional webcomic, major characters just randomly dispensary all the time in those, right?

By the way, artist rant: The kids eyes, drawing them has been really weird. I don't usually give Conventional Wisdom characters eyes as detailed as Far Out There's, and since they're usually not on the same page it rarely matters. But with a page like this, I wasn't really sure what to do. It feels weird to put some characters with little dot eyes right next to others with big anime eyes, but the kids just looked too different any other way. (And hey, one less thing to color in, that's always a plus)

Hmmm....how long before someone tells Avatar they love her "costume"...awkward!

(I suppose they could say the same to Stilez or Tax, but Stilez would just be confused by it, and Tax would say "Thanks!" without actually paying attention to the inconsistency)

Um... about two or three pages, depending on which order I do some other things :)

Ooops. I wonder if smackjeeves lets me do hidden-spoiler-text.

@ Blitzkreig: Why don't you just incorporate "foot shoes" into your cosplay? I am, of course, talking about either fake-feet that you wear on your feet, OR shoes which you cover in essentially a printed picture of bare feet (not necessarily your own).

@ Comic: Yes, that does count as "made" nowadays. You put it together so that it looks right, you made it. Besides, I doubt that the grey skin-paint is from Goodwill.
