Hey look! We're back on the At Midnight update schedule again! IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! Yeah, sorry the last couple of pages were late. It takes remarkably little in the way of distraction to fall behind on a daily schedule. That's why so many of the comics this year are single panel things. I may not have the discipline to start drawing these comics in late September so that they'll already be done come the holidays, but at LEAST I had the presence of mind to realize where in the process I'd start getting burned out, and wrote a bunch of really simple pages to carry me through that lull.

Also, I totally should have put a funny Santa hat on Vengeance. That was a missed opportunity.

Put your head on his lap and go to sleep. Yes, Vengeance's lap. I'm curious as to how he'll react to someone trying to wake you up, oh mascot of dazed confusion.

I don't think Zilch actually experiences "Sleep" and "Awake" as separate states of being.

Poor Vengeance looks a bit dazed and confused himself. I don't think he's ever had to make that particular expression before in his life. First Stilez and now he's made another new friend - he's becoming very sociable! ;)

And now I really want a frozen burrito.

Also: tomorrow: Strip#1000!!!!!! Wow!! (Or, in metric, one Kilostrip)

If you can believe it, that's actually the TONED DOWN expression for Vengeance. The first draft of this page was even more "What the heck?" to the point that I needed to mellow him out a bit.
