And now, I more or less fail to advance the story in any way but get to have a lot of fun drawing really funny faces. And man, these were some FUN faces to draw.

But yeah, I'm down at Ichibancon right now, so HOPEFULLY the new Voting Incentive will be up and ready by the time this update goes live... cos it'll be a few days before I get a chance to fix it.

For someone who so detests poverty, Layla probably shouldn't try so hard to antagonize the guy who's paying for everything she has!

And the lines are drawn in the sand...
Stilez probably wouldn't expect that someone else is about to start the destruction!

Number 6: She's figured Ichabod out well enough to know how to torture him without QUITE driving him to kick her out (especially since he knows Trigger would go to)

@ Incentive: That IS adorable. Look, he's striking a pose!

@ Comic: I see this being less of a problem for Ichabod than the "while he was asleep" incident. Okay, yes, this is more emotionally troubling for him, but Layla could already do more damage just by informing others that he tried to date Stillez. Giving her the full story should actually reduce the maximum amount of emotional damage to Ichabod this knowledge could create. Besides, they both know that she can still, to a certain degree, damage the reputation of the Nitpickers in their entirety by informing people of the "I was trying to make you a better person" stitch he tried on her.

Nitpick: 1st panel, should be ...Now do "you" feel like....

Blitz (at Ichibancon) (Guest), January 2nd, 2016, 8:31 am

DD: Yeah, if I were doing that stretch of comics over again, the pranks on Ichabod would be much more subtle & easy to deny. Such blatant aggression doesn't really fit her character anymore.

Darius Drake (Guest), January 2nd, 2016, 7:48 pm

@ Blitz: Just say that her annoyance at him was at record high levels (for her), and seeing him in a vulnerable state had her overreact in joy. Basically, it was a one-off act of blatant aggression that even she felt was over the top afterwards, but felt so invigorating to her at the time that the thought of stopping, or even being subtle, was completely ignored for just more punishment.

It's OK for someone to do something out of character for them - real people act out of character. This was waaaaay back in comic#118-119, she had just recently lost her dad, been kicked out of her home (and lost all her precious, precious money) and was still very traumatized - that's definitely the sort of thing that can make someone act out of character, particularly since she pretty much blamed Ichabod entirely for the latter part of that loss. Even so, after she had done it, she immediately realized she had gone overboard, which is also the sort of thing that happens when someone acts out of character. So, it was totally in character for her to act out of character!
