Not gonna lie, I would totally put lava lamp decorations on my tree, fire hazard or no. It'd be like an extra elaborate version of bubble lights. Have you ever seen bubble lights? My grandmother used to have them among her many VERY old-fashioned Christmas decorations, and I always thought they were really awesome. Kind of clunky and awkward, which is probably why they fell out of popularity, but I still think they're pretty neat.

...not a whole lot else to say at this point, mainly because I only just got back from my brother's graduation ceremony and never got around to posting the next batch of pages before I left. So, HUGE scramble to get stuff posted and regain at least a LITTLE BIT of a page buffer.

Speaking of which, Voting Incentive... Um, I THINK there'll be one? I mean, by the time most of you get around to seeing this, I THINK I'll have had time to get a fresh one drawn and posted. But it's not done as I write this, so there's always the chance that it won't be up yet when this page goes live. So, if you vote and nothing new is up, just check back again in a few hours. EVENTUALLY there'll be a new Incentive today.

In space!
Bridget, yes!
Lava lamps? Wouldn't work. (no gravity)
Bubble lights? Wouldn't work either. We did have some when I was growing up. I liked them. And neither one would work with LEDs, since it's the heat from the incandescent light that makes them work.

Ichabod should appreciate the beauty of this, wasn't he raised with the space-hippies? Unless he doesn't want to be reminded?

@Ram - you probably shouldn't have anyone call Ichabod's people, his people are usually pretty dangerous. Sophia&Claire? Stilez? Zicheledan Imperium? Black Hole invaders?

@Stonefoot - Bubble lights with LEDs would add a heating element (thus defeating both the safety and power consumption reasons for having LEDs in the first place). Lava lamps in space would include an element to generate an artificial gravity field, thus ignoring the laws of physics. (Or, as Tabitha thinks of them, the "suggestions" of physics)

LEDs plus a heating element is a good idea - with a separate heating element, you could have something that would last a lot longer, since the incandescent bulb is usually the point of failure. Both would also need the artificial gravity, since the bubbles wouldn't rise in the bubble light without it.

So with the tech and the physics completely changed, we end up with stuff that looks exactly the same. I like that. ;-}}

I also like Tabitha's "'suggestions' of physics" - especially considering that QED (quantum electrodynamics) derives equations directly from theory which are mind-bogglingly accurate, using one step that's... er... mathematically "illegal". (Look up 'renormalization'.)

@Stonefoot - Renormalization is cheating at physics, and Tabitha is perfectly fine with that, in fact she wholeheartedly endorses it! Cheating is ok as long as you don't get caught, and Tabitha is way too fast for Physics to ever catch her. She is, however, a bit confused by anything with the word "normal" in it ;)
