Layla really needs to get some drops for that. It can't be healthy.

Heeeeeeey, remember how I said that breaking the big Conventional Wisdom update up into chunky would hopefully avoid any more delays with Far Out There? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahaha yeah I didn't even start penciling this page until after 5am. I mean, it DID get done, and I even managed to get a fresh Voting Incentive done as well, but still... YAWN.

Oh, and I DID get the first chunk of MAGFest comics finished and posted last night, so anybody could go check that out too, it'd be much appreciated (and remember, there's still around thirty more pages where those came from).

...and before I finally pass out, I must make an apology of my own for any typos that turn up in Tabitha's big apology. Writing that many big words while this sleepy probably wasn't a smart move. Also, I'm kind of sorry to have resorted to the old "huge block of text with a single talking character" trick again. My original plan had actually called for at least four panels of Tabitha talking, both to break up the text and show her doing a lot of awkward fidgeting... but I direct you again to my previous statements about not even starting the penciling until after 5.

Oh, and to those of you feeling let down that we didn't actually SEE Layla reading Tabitha the riot act... you just wait :)

"Furthermore, as an individual several years your senior, although I'm not quite sure how many years since for some odd reason I don't know your age, or Layla's, and now that I think of it, I'm not exactly sure how old I am either...hmmm, that's strange..."

I'm still not sure Tabitha totally understands why she is apologizing. Although "fear of Layla" is a completely valid reason.

If these were RPG characters, Layla's stare would be draining 1d3 hit points from Tabitha's life force every round.

In the Far Out There universe, everyone celebrates birthdays with a cake that only has one candle on it. That candle is shaped like the word "shrug".

@ Blitzkreig: You lie! There's the occasional obsessive compulsive 150+ year old who still keeps count of their age to the day.

Ed8, January 21st, 2017, 1:34 am

...and that 150+ year old is named "Avatar". Of course she knows everybody's birthday (since she knows all the stuff ever) but she's not telling.

Unless...in order to prevent her from sentimentally trying to return to her old life instead of fulfilling their gather-all-the-knowledge mission, the mad scientists who modified her gave her the knowledge of everything ever except her own previous life history so her own birthday is the only one she can't celebrate! Poor Avatar. :(

Blitzkrieg1701, January 21st, 2017, 3:33 am

Wait, I can't remember. Has anybody asked about Avatar's knowledge regarding her own past before? I'm not sure how annoyingly vague I should be right now.

Darius Drake (Guest), January 21st, 2017, 6:28 am

@ Blitz: The closest that's come up in the comic is asking how long she was in space (since she likely would have been shunted out to space shortly after he "birth" as Avatar) and she refused to answer in an irritated manner.

Re: Typos
This is machine lettered, isn't it? Have you considered first typing the dialogue into a word processor and spell-checking it? Admittedly, it doesn't cover made-up words, grammatical mistakes, or incorrect words spelled correctly (its/it's, your/you're, there/they're/their, etc.)...

Ed8, January 23rd, 2017, 1:33 pm

Typos in this Webcomic are all entirely intentional. The text is fully spellchecked and proofread first, then typos are added back in as a test of the audience's Nitpicking skills.

@Blitz - Yes, you have definitely answered that question in highly specific detail before (but I can't recall what the answer was and don't have a link to it to provide as evidence) so feel free to reveal all the highly specific details again.

Apocalypse eyes
I'm pretty sure Layla's eyes are transporting imagery from the depths of purgury right now.
