Today's page was held up by technical difficulties. The most horrible, debilitating of all technical difficulties. It's frustrating to even talk about now, but... well... THE AIR CONDITIONER WASN'T WORKING LAST NIGHT. No, seriously. My computer heats up this side of the room so bad that, without refrigerated air blasting on me from up above, I literally couldn't handle sitting at the desk long enough to get any work done. (Granted, I was already feeling pretty crappy last night, and being overheated only made that worse). Of course, I'd ALSO spent all morning getting a batch of Conventional Wisdom comics posted on Patreon, so there was that too... but yeah, these are the kind of boring explanations you can usually expect when I run late on something. "I was getting all sweaty so I went to bed early." Clearly, the life of a cartoonist is fraught with danger and hardships.

And don't forget: New Voting Incentive!

Lady, I might not have context but it sounds like you just gave some important dude bad directions. Reach him again and give him the right ones. Do not mention the security breach until later. Problem solved.

Mariska, as a nitpicker you should know that context is all-important.
The slightest change in context could change this from an innocent mistake that 2 minutes could fix, to having to hide out for years from galactic assassins.

Incentive:
Co-host: Gilb?

@ Incentive: Is she drinking "Cake Soda"? I mean, it could also be "Fake Soda", but I think it's probably "Cake Soda". Assuming that it is Cake Soda, the question is how does it work?

Is it a soda that transforms into a cooked cake from reacting with your saliva? Is it a substance that can be either a cake or soda depending on how you treat it (in a drink container, it's a soda, but if you either cook it or put it on a plate in a certain way, it becomes cake)? Is it a soda filled with pieces of cake? Or is it a soda that tastes like cake?

In my opinion, the last two sound disgusting.

I honestly have no idea how Cake Soda is supposed to work, it's just a recycled gag from that Voting Incentive where Astrid's pigging out on the couch (2015 Voting Incentives - Page 32 in the Gallery... since I'm pretty sure even I can't post direct links in the comments)

...but you're right. All the possibilities do sound pretty nasty.

[Kosh] Yes. [/Kosh]

Bit of trivia, long ago, I did once drink a bit of a soft drink that claimed to be cake flavoured.
It was disgusting.

That said, I'll go with the Mathematician's/Logician's answer like raynard61 did.
