That's not artistic embellishment, Avi probably installed dramatic lighting and pyro behind them

...aaaaand we'e back to our regular update schedule... with me drastically botching my time management and not getting this page done until hours and hours after it was due. Yep, RIGHT BACK TO NORMAL! Okay, the actual explanation is that I got so into the groove of working on the Patreon comics (more on that later) that I totally lost track of how far behind schedule I was on finishing THIS page... and then discovered to my horror that I'd also SPECTACULARLY messed up in planning the layout of the page, resulting in a ground-up rewrite to try and make everything fit. And, just for the record, I did NOT make everything fit. What you see before you is actually only HALF of the page I was planning to post today. The entire punchline had to be chopped off and turned into its own separate page... which I GUESS means I've got a bit of a head start on next Tuesday. And that's a good thing, too, since I've also gotta get next Friday's page done before I leave for MAGFest, and TRY to get the following Tuesday done as well... AND a, extra New Year's comic if there's time. Well, I KNOW there's not time, but that's never stopped me before...

Oh, and speaking of no time, I'm afraid I don't have the new Voting Incentive up yet, but there WILL be one tomorrow. I just didn't have time to finish it before... well, see above. In the meantime, remember what I said about Patreon comics? Yup, I finally started posting pages of the latest Far Out There Madlib this week! They've been creeping out a page or two at a time, and we should be at page 8 by this evening. Remember, even the lowest donation of a mere $1 A Month gets you access to all the new comics as soon as their posted!

EDIT: Well, it took a few hours longer than I expected (big surprise) but here's the new Voting Incentive!

@ Comic: That last panel shows more of the character's personality than the entire spiel that Avi made.

A picture says more than a thousand words... and so does Avi, every minute.

@ Tarkus K: Secret Rule #1 of Superheroing: The more visible -- whether by costume or hierarchy -- a sidekick or other team member is, the lower *your* chance of getting folded/spindled/mutilated/mashed/squashed/blasted/killed is. Avi knows what she's doing. (Sneaky little minx!)

Point of clarification: Avi is a boy too (though I'm pretty sure he gets that a LOT)

OK, I'm not going to ask for their exact ages, since we all know that people in the FOT Universe don't have exact ages, but can you give us their approximate relative age compared to the other characters (I'm guessing all 4 are about the same age as each other)

For reference, I'm thinking the order of ages of the current main cast is:

Avatar (actual age)
Stilez ?? (apparent age)
Avatar (apparent age)
Tax (apparent age)
Zombie kids (apparent age)

*Vengeance - age unknowable
*Blip - artificial, so does not have an age

That's ALMOST a spot on list, with the sole exception that Megaweapon would be just a touch above Bridget and Alphonse. granted, as you rightly observe, there's some weirdness about figuring their "actual" age since they weren't actually "born", but Megaweapon LOOKS just a little bit older.

Ed8, December 30th, 2017, 2:01 pm

Conveniently not answering the original question of the new kids ages, I see :) :P

(Yeah, I wasn't sure about Megaweapon, because he has the self-control and personality of a bratty toddler who's never been told "no", but the vocabulary, cynicism, and personality otherwise of someone older than his actual age. Also I suspect his dad may have tinkered with his genetics a bit. For the Mad Scientist, there's a fine line between having a kid and receiving a free experimental subject.)

Blitzkrieg1701, December 30th, 2017, 3:27 pm

Oh yeah! Sorry, I got distracted. They're all about the same age, and that's around the same age as Trigger.

@ Blitzkrieg1701: I stand corrected. (Sneaky little menace!)
