Only a SLIGHT exaggeration over the usual comics, actually. That goes both for silliness and sheer excessive text levels.

Anyway, I wanted to do something different for, um, the one day where I set out to do something different. And after the big long elaborate April Fo ols pages in the past, a massive wall of text seemed like the biggest swerve I could do. Also, I kind of sort of didn't have time to draw anything more elaborate this time around. There's that too.

Now, if you wanna see a BIG April Fools joke, head on over to Conventional Wisdom and see what I just dropped over there!

Oh, and just in case you missed it on Friday, there's still an ACTUAL new Far Out There page for your non-Fool-related enjoyment.

It's disturbing how much of this could make sense in this comic if it happened individually... (possibly with minor changes)
Though the transformations pairings don't seem likely. :P
More holy crusades should lead to their target being arrested for tax evasion. And poor Avatar still upset about the "not growing up" thing.

To be honest, I was hoping to see something combined with Easter.

Yeah, it does seem like a bit of a waste to not capitalize on that rare overlap, but I was just too burned out after all the Conventional Wisdom stuff to do anything else.

...and you're right. It's REALLY hard to come up with fake Far Out There ideas that sound obviously weirder than the real ones.

@ FOT Ideas that sound obviously weirder than real ones: Introducing Ichabod's girlfriend, and it being revealed that she's actually a temporally displaced version of older Layla, who took over an empire single-handedly and actually fell properly in love with Ichabod when they met further back in the timeline. Additionally, Layla herself doesn't want to interact with the empire that her future self created due to it disposing of use of the concept of money and wealth.

Ichabod himself turns out to be the Charismatic Grand Master and Leader of a secret cult which call themselves 'The Doctors Death', which is built around travelling around and causing people to die in ways that they are technically not responsible for. That is to say, they travel the universe, pick up strangers who are currently down on their luck and wanting to travel, and then go to places likely to explode in danger in order to either get those people killed or indoctrinated into their cult. Purposefully travelling to wherever Stillez is is actually a preferred method for this cult, and Tax was a potential recruit for the cult, who decided to just lead Stillez to the next destination for the Cult's "Companion" Purge on a semi-random basis.

This didn't exactly take me long to think up, but, then again, the main reason why they aren't possible in FOT isn't due to them being things that can't happen in FOT, but because they're so out of character for the characters they're related to in FOT.

Somewhere, at this very moment, beyond the barriers of fiction and reality, Layla feels very offended and doesn't know why.

And Principal Baby is offended because, as if getting third billing on his own TV show wasn't bad enough, now you forgot how to spell his name :)

At this rate he's going to end up back in rehab again.

...and then Layla and Ram Quatzi decided to hold a convention for convicted con-artists, only to be disappointed when they discovered that somebody had already trademarked the "ConConCon" name many years earlier. (Apparently it was that guy they met at the Christmas party a few years back)

@ Blitz: Offended? Not disgusted or unclean? Interesting...
