Heeeeeeeeeeey, remember that Conventional Wisdom update I was talking about? The one that I've been working on for weeks, nay MONTHS? The one that caused me to do a barely more than filler update for Tuesday with no new Voting Incentive at all but promised it would be worth it because THE CONVENTIONAL WISDOM STUFF IS REALLY FOR REAL ALMOST TOTALLY ACTUALLY FOR SURE FINISHED yeah that's not done yet. Oh, it's close, I wasn't lying about that, but I keep having to stop and go back to fix stuff I missed the first time (or work around stuff I didn't properly prepare for), and that keeps dragging things out. Sometime this weekend seems pretty likely. Cross those fingers!

In the meantime, though, as much as I'd love more time to finish that stuff, I'm not about to give Far Out There TWO almost-non-updates in a row. More of a half-non-update. Here's the page I said I didn't have time to do for Tuesday (just LOOK at all those warped text layers!) but I'm afraid there's still no new Voting Incentive. I promise, they WILL come back as soon as I get Conventional Wisdom out of the way, for real.

...and can I just say how much it BREAKS MY HEART that the Voting Incentive page number and the main comic page numbers will be out of sync now? Seriously! then the Becky & Gilb comics started up, they lined up perfectly with the final two digits of the regular comics! I just had to add or subtract the 10 up front! It was so neat and aesthetically pleasing, and now they're gonna be OFF by just a number or two. JUUUUUST close enough for it to be noticeable that they don't totally line up anymore. I just KNOW this is gonna bug me every time I have to write out a new page title. Yes, THIS is what I'm worrying about right now...

Don't get jealous Layla, but it seems like she has more clothes for Avatar than for you.

(And don't look at that box near the bottom there...)

Blitzkrieg1701, July 27th, 2018, 5:47 pm

And consider also that clothes for Avatar would take up a lot less space than clothes for Layla, so there's probably twice as much in those boxes.

EDIT: Oh wait, that's assuming the stuff Tabitha brought for Layla isn't waaaaaaaay skimpier than the stuff she brought for Layla. That might balance them out.

Give Tabitha one thing: She is Crazy Prepared...

@ Seros Senric: Well, she's probably been building up a collection for Avatar for longer than she has for Layla & Trigger. That would also explain why she has, seemingly at least +1000 boxes of clothes more for Stillez than Layla. The only box for Trigger is box #330, too, so I'll say that that's his highest number.

Oh my gosh, I totally didn't even notice the numbers GAH, I MEAN YES THAT WAS TOTALLY PLANNED AND ON PURPOSE AND INTENDED ALL ALONG

Darius Drake (Guest), July 31st, 2018, 9:10 am

@ Blitz: You gave Avatar over 27000 boxes of clothes on three different boxes. And the two boxes Stillez has are both over 3000. Due to that, I don't believe that it wasn't planned. If it wasn't for Avatar Clothes #406 & Layla Clothes #2026, I would be prepared to propose the belief that the first number/pair of numbers is an individual identification number rather than a box number count, with Layla's being 00 or not needed on the box.

Trigger's would be explained away by the fact that it gets cut off right after the 0 in 330, so the number could actually be #33XXX.

We can't see any of the numbers for Ichabod's or Blip's boxes.

No, seriously: I'd LOVE to take credit for planning that, because it absolutely makes sense, but those numbers are pretty much all random street addresses and zip codes I remembered off the top of my head. I am nowhere NEAR clever enough to do that on purpose.
