I feel like I could just copy and paste the previous few comments for this one: The comic's late and it's because I've been working on Conventional Wisdom and I fell asleep and at least I got a new Voting Incentive done on time and blah blah blah. Really, the only original thought I have to add this time is that I blew a lot more time than I should have fiddling with the designs for Layla's jacket and Tabitha's shirt. Actually, that's two things. I spent so much time figuring out a new outfit for Layla that I realized I'd forgot to give Tabitha anything new until the last minute, so I had to stop and do that. If Layla's gonna have the temerity to insist on dressing like a normal person, Tabitha's gonna bust out some unnecessary belts and excessive zippers and other weeb-ish details, dang it!

@ Layla: Don't take it personally, it'd be hard to have less "insulation" than Tabitha unless you were anorexic. You appear to be at a fairly healthy weight, and if it was unhealthy, the reason why would be due to being too light (when the size of your chest is removed from the equation).

@ Tabitha: That is practically an age old question. To my knowledge, the thing that determines whether or not you feel hot or cold is the extremities (hands & feet, possibly head), while the part that the body keeps the warmest is the core (body) as most of the vital components are there. As such, in part, those half gloves & warm boots you are currently wearing would help you feel warm, while Layla's completely exposed hands would allow her to feel the cold. Add to that the differences between individual bodies, and the effect that being used to a certain environment would have on a person (Layla's used to keeping herself warm, while you, Tabitha, are more used to exposing yourself to the air).

@ Incentive: I take it that the Holograms work on what I will call Forcefield Rules. That is, depending on the situation (and environment) the rules can change. For this, there would be settings for Decorative (only light), Energy Defense (affects Energy/Lazer Blasts, does nothing to physical items), Physical Defense (affects physical items & people), and Practically Real (almost perfectly imitates a real item).
