Well, we hitting the home stretch, and after a month of this, I'm only just now starting to get a little bit of a buffer built up. But it IS happening, and it looks like I might actually be able to relax a little bit by the 25th! Now THAT will be a Christmas miracle.

So, THIS is what Christmas is The South usually looks like: wet and rainy. I took the background picture at another local mall, because I THOUGHT I could capture the gray, depressing atmosphere... and I thought wrong. Somehow, every single picture I took that evening came out waaaaay warmer and brighter than it looked in person, to the point that I had to drown the whole thing in extra layers of shading. ...even more so than usual, I mean.

I think it's that we can't see the movement in the air that indicates rain, I bet. So it just looks a bit greyer then normal and maybe a tad more fuzzy.

Yeah, I tried to add some particle filter type effects like the snow on the previous page, but I couldn't get it to look like anything other than soot or smoke. He's supposed to be in the rain, not downwind of an active volcano.

@alt text - There's nothing incongruous in Ichabod using audio with no video - this is the same guy who carries around 5 tons of PAPER BOOKS with him wherever he goes. I'm surprised he didn't write her a letter and send it by carrier pigeon. (Interstellar warp-speed capable carrier pigeons of course)

Heck, the fact that he's personally going to stores rather than ordering online and having the gifts wrapped and shipped for him is a bit out of step even NOW.
