Clearly, the Caligaris' home is the most festive and lushly decorated we've seen yet. I started to put in something like a single, out-of-place string of lights in the middle of the creepy filth... but then I thought it'd be funnier if Tabitha and the kids were the only bright, out of place bit of color. I'm still not sure if it was actually the right call, but at least it meant I got the page done before noon, and that's something, right? (I'd really, seriously hoped to actually have the next few days worth of stuff already finished by this point, and while the last two Far Out There pages aren't done yet, at least I finally, FINALLY have all the Conventional Wisdom Anime Weekend Atlanta pages done!)

Oh, and fun fact of the day: those creepy, rusty, grime-covered walls are actually textures from the Silent Hill games. So, maybe not so much "fun" fact as "extremely morbid" fact.

It seems appropriate - their planet is the decaying ruins of an extinct civilization - they probably just moved into an abandoned Mad Scientist's Castle because it had great ambiance (Perfect for Alchemy!). As far as cheery Christmas spirit goes, I suspect there's way more of it in the old rusted ruin with Tabitha and the kids than in a house with Kevin and Megawapon, no matter how many Gigawatts of lights Augusta puts up.
