Remember when I said that sometimes I have trouble knowing if I should feel bad about a page being late? Well, this is one of those times. Despite deciding in advance to push everything back a full day, I'm STILL not getting the page up until the day is nearly over, and I wasn't even able to get the next TWC Voting Incentive finished at all. Obviously, the primary reason for the delay is just that I'd been up waaaaay too long working on other things and needed some recovery time... but that only explains why it wasn't up sometime Friday night, not the delay into most of Saturday. Well, to be honest, I was distracted by something pretty awesome. For the past... gosh, I'm not even sure, several years at least, I've been using a tiny little "temporary" monitor because the one my computer actually came with died on me. But then, yesterday afternoon, I suddenly found myself the surprise recipient of a brand new, shiny, BIIIIIIG monitor! ...which wound up diverting the whole rest of the night into unpacking and setting up and fiddling with brightness setting and all that fun stuff (I'm a bit embarrassed to admit how weird it was to be handling a piece of technology that was actually fresh out of the box, nearly every "new" thing I usually end up owning is actually someone else's used junk) So, yeah, I'm still annoyed on general principal that an update that I fully expected to be late STILL managed to be unexpectedly late, but at least it's for an objectively cool reason for once!

Oh, and at this point, I'm just going to hold the half-finished Voting Incentive until Tuesday. Not really any point in me scrambling to finish a comic that'll have to be swapped out again in, like, a day, right?

If it makes you feel any better, the update was about half way through Sunday for me.

Congrats on the new monitor though!

And the actual comic ...
Yeah, understandable reaction to someone that doesn't listen to a simple response but rarely does it seem to end well...

That's something that people should say to him more often, probably shouting it because he obviously doesn't listen.

You know what? Being reminded of just how arbitrary the concepts of date and time really are actually DOES make me feel better about this sort of thing :)

Also, you have to think that none of these kids are used to being told "no" by anyone... in the sense that they probably don't hear much of ANYTHING from any meaningful authority figures.

To quote from the guide "Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so."
