Heeeeeeeeey, funny story: I kind of wasted a lot of time working on Friday's page instead of today's. No, I didn't get confused and start working on things out of order by accident... although I actually HAVE done that in the past, so it'd be a fair assumption to make. No, the original plan was for Friday's page to BE today's, until I had one of those problematic artist moments. The previous page showed Tabitha gathering up Bridget to leave, and the next one will pick up after they've gone, but we never actually see them leave with Avatar. I'm sure no one other than me would have had a problem with this, but something about the rhythm just seemed off to me, like we'd skipped over a step. There wasn't room to fit in another panel to that page without screw up IT'S rhythm, and that's how we wound up with a whole extra, LATE page today.

Well, at least we get a moment of Bridget and Avatar bonding, so I'd say it's worth it.

Speaking of things being late and needlessly complicated in ways that only I care about, I ALMOST had another Far Out There blog post ready to go up on Patreon along with this update. Alas, it probably won't be up until later this week, mostly because I'm bouncing back and forth between that and ANOTHER blog thing. Remember a while back when I said I was working on some other Far Out There-related stuff? Well, in one of the most "Me" things to happen in a while, what started out as one big blog post metastasized into no less than THREE posts, none of which are done, and all of which ate into my attempts to finish that OTHER post (plus, you know, actually drawing the comic too) However, if I get another "I need to work on literally anything other than the project I'm supposed to be working on!"energy surges this week, I MIGHT get the first part up later this week, after the OTHER blog post. So, you know, if you were ever thinking of donating $2 or more a month, now would be an especially good time to do it... and not JUST because the number of patrons has noticably dwindled lately, either.

OH! And don't forget the new TWC Voting Incentive, which I've actually had sitting around for YEARS.

EDIT EDIT: TO the surprise of no one, that alleged head start on the new page wasn't enough. I had to go back and change some stuff, and now it's also running behind schedule. Wheee.

@ Avatar: Bridget doesn't actually have to deal with things like this every day. It's the fact that Tabitha's dealing with something she's mostly only heard of and is interested in (both you and Stillez) that she's constantly like this. Otherwise, it only happens at an occasional flight of fancy.

Oh man...
The next page will be early! You've got other things going for you than lateness! Comic Ladd! Comic Ladd! Comic Ladd! You can do it!

DD: Well, she definitely doesn't TALK as much when she's not as nervous & excited over someone else.

T: See, I started to say say that up above, then realized the second I started predicting the next update would be early, that would GUARANTEE it'd be late.

@Darius - I don't know about that - she pretty much gets like this whenever either one of her kids does something either particularly adorable or impressive, which is probably almost constantly. It may not be the exact same reaction, but it's similar enough that it falls into the category of what Avatar is referring to.

@Blitz- We may need to get a flowchart of your explanations for delay above, as far as which things delayed which other things which delayed the other things, I'm not sure If I can follow it without some sort of visual aid done in Powerpoint ;)
(Avatar probably understands it, though)

@ Ed8: I disagree. A parental figure talking constantly and suggesting experiments to conduct that will likely be upsetting is SIGNIFICANTLY different to them giving praise and cuddles for how cute/awesome/incredible you are. Particularly when you enjoy the praise and worry about actually having to participate in or otherwise aid the experiments.

Well, keep in mind that the test/competition/bib-making she's talking about doing is just an expansion of something she ACTUALLY already did with Bridget earlier. I think the biggest thing is that Bridget has an easier time tolerating this stuff when it's in the privacy of their own home (after all, it IS still doing something with Mom) than when Tabitha brings it up around other people.

@ Blitz: Yeah, I did forget about the embarrassment factor of this page. Thanks for pointing that out.
