Well, I succeeded in making a food-based page that didn't make me hungry.

So, lame news: on top of this page being pushed back a day, next week is only going to have one update, around Wednesday or Thursday. I hate to do that again right after another delay, but it's REALLY necessary this time. In case you missed my added message on the previous page, I've been scrambling to get a bunch of Conventional Wisdom stuff done before Otakon weekend... which, ironically, I'm NOT going to this year, but still needed to get stuff finished and online for anyway. And that crunch really kicked my butt, in the most literal sense possible. I've been sitting at my desk, hunched over paper or my computer for so long that, by Thursday, I was starting to develop some serious pain in my lower back. So I actually, genuinely NEED to take a few days off next week to get out of the house and move around more and stretch things that haven't been properly stretched in a while. Let it never be said that I don't cartoon so hard that I genuinely injure myself.

And of course there's a new TWC Voting Incentive ...and the only reason it's NOT author insert me trying to force Stilez into her new costume is because I haven't finalized the design yet.

Avatar is also immune to Guacamole Explosions
Poor Avatar. Her implanted "Prime Directive" forces her to want to gather ALL knowledge in the universe. Unfortunately for her, that includes all the knowledge that she really doesn't want to know.

Actually, I can kind of identify with that.

Nitpick
"function" -> "functioning", or maybe "functional"

Darius Drake (Guest), July 27th, 2019, 10:38 pm

@ Ed8 on Avatar Immune to Guacamole Explosions: Tabitha called a warning about the explosion before setting it off, and Avatar was keeping well away from the fight in order to avoid accidental ingestion and thus potentially catastrophic regurgitation effects.

Ed8, July 27th, 2019, 10:48 pm

Maybe, but she probably is immune to them, in the sense that any material (such as the Whilehuisite that she and her clothing are made out of) that does not react at all with other chemicals/molecules, would also likely be unable to have anything "stick" to it. So, really, she can't become messy or dirty at all, no matter what explodes around her or onto her*.
*Unless it's funnier for her to be covered in goop in a particular situation, and then rule-of-comedy temporarily outranks fictional-universe-physics.

All of the present theories about Avatar's lack of messiness are simultaneously true.

Ed8, July 28th, 2019, 5:52 pm

Blitzenberg's Uncertainty Principle
All theories about characters are simultaneously both True and Untrue at the same time, until the Author either confirms or denies them. ...and good luck getting any information out of that guy when he won't even tell us how old the characters are!

Darius Drake (Guest), July 28th, 2019, 7:00 pm

Blitzkrieg's Certainty Principal
All theories about characters confirmed by the Author are true until they are otherwise disproven inside the comic, and may still be true even if disproven in comic due to the fundamental subjectivity of the reality and related subjects. All theories denied by the Author don't exist because the Author may end up wanting to use that idea somewhere down the line and may forget denying them in the past.

Ed8, July 28th, 2019, 7:36 pm

All false theories are true, all True theories are false
Even if the Author forgets, someone will remind him of it.
The audience is full of Nitpickers, after all!

Blitzkrieg1701, July 30th, 2019, 3:49 am

Simon's Unprofessional Principle
The author wasn't paying attention and posted this particular comic on the wrong website.

Ed8, July 30th, 2019, 7:50 pm

Principle of Unprofessional Professionalism
It's totally OK to be unprofessional when you're not actually getting paid!

But that won't stop me from Nitpicking, though.

The 2nd line in Tabitha's speech bubble appears to use some unknown distant future word wha`ı
I guess I should expect language to change at least a little over millions of years

Blitzkrieg1701, July 31st, 2019, 6:46 am

D'OH! I must have done that when I was fixing the previous typo! (I had to expand the speech bubble via some copy/pasting, and a layer must have wound up over the text)
